Medical Assistant Training in Indiana
Lincoln Tech’s new Medical Assistant school in Indiana can prepare graduates to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam. The eligibility is earned when a Lincoln Tech Medical Assisting student satisfactorily completes their program coursework. After passing this exam, graduates are eligible to pursue entry-level positions as Registered Medical Assistants, as well as Office Medical Assistants, EKG Technicians, or Unit/Ward Clerks in hospitals. Changes in managed healthcare and the expansion of private group practices require well-trained Medical Assistants that possess clinical, administrative, and laboratory skills. These in-demand skills can be earned at Lincoln Tech.
While our Indiana campus has offered automotive and skilled trades career-focused education ÑÇÖÞÍø¼t¶µã for more than 60 years, we added Medical Assistant training to help meet the growing demand for these skills.
At Lincoln Tech’s Medical Assistant school, the training program culminates with a 160-hour clinical externship. This is designed to give students valuable real-world experience before they graduate.
