What Campuses Offer Financial Aid?

All Lincoln Tech campuses offer a wide array of financial aid options for students including federal student loans, Direct Subsidized Loans, Direct Unsubsidized Loans, PLUS loans, various grants, Title IV funding, and private assistance options.

What happens after I fill out the FAFSA?

Once you’ve filled out your completed FAFSA online, or sent it in through the mail, the application will be processed. In return, you’ll receive an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) in the mail, which Lincoln uses to determine how much aid you’ll get.

How do I check to see if my FAFSA has been processed?

If you submit your FAFSA online, you can check its status immediately. For FAFSAs sent through the mail, you can check the status after it has been processed (roughly 7–10 days from the date mailed). You can do this by logging into  or by contacting the through the studentaid.gov website.

Will I hear from someone, and when?

After filling out a FAFSA, you’ll receive a Student Aid Report (SAR), which is a personalized summary of the information submitted. Review the SAR to make sure there aren’t any mistakes on the FAFSA.

Please note: The SAR will not tell you how much financial aid you will receive.

• If you applied for admission to a college or career school and have been accepted, and you listed that school on your FAFSA, the school will calculate your aid and send you an electronic or paper Award Letter telling you how much aid you’re eligible for at the school.
• The timing of the award letter varies from school to school, depends on when you apply and how the school prefers to schedule awarding of aid.
