Philadelphia Campus & Local Dealership Partner to Enhance Training Equipment
A longtime partnership between Lincoln Tech and CashForCars.io, formerly Orthodox Auto, has helped provide students with industry-specific training aids and helped the campus secure auto parts at cost, leading to significant financial savings. Now the auto group has generously arranged for a vehicle donation to Lincoln Tech as a way of further supporting local students’ education and career aspirations.
“CashForCars.io is donating a vehicle to Lincoln Tech in hopes of strengthening local communities and neighborhoods through continued education, responsible business practices, and the power of recycling,” says Nick Evangelis, Business Development Manager at CashForCars.io. “Everybody wins when older vehicles are properly disposed of.”
The donated 2012 Kia Soul will be put to use in Lincoln Tech’s Automotive Technology program, which last year helped 85 graduates begin new careers throughout the greater Philadelphia area1.
“A key reason for our success at Lincoln Tech has been our relationships with area employers and industry leaders like CashForCars.io,” says Jim Kuntz, President of the Philadelphia campus. “We’re very grateful to Nick Evangelis and his team for arranging this donation, and we know how much it means for our students to have access to more vehicles as part of their hands-on training.”
is a fast-growing company in the vehicle disposal services industry. Servicing almost every location in the Philadelphia area, including Camden, Cherry Hill and surrounding southwestern New Jersey communities, the company provides sellers a secure way to receive quick cash for their vehicles. According to Evangelis, cars that are no longer viable for their owners to keep are the most recycled consumer product in the world today and also account for nearly 40% of all steel sold into North America’s scrap processing industry.
The service offers free towing, paperwork assistance, immediate payments and more, in an effort to keep communities free and clear of abandoned vehicles. Combined with their focus on environmentally-responsible ways of disposing of inoperable cars, trucks, and SUVs, CashForCars.io has changed the idea of “scrapping” unwanted vehicles.
“CashForCars.io has been a phenomenal partner and supporter of our program,” Kuntz says. “As Orthodox Auto, they’ve been a local neighborhood shop committed to the community – and that makes this partnership a natural match. Our graduates have been launching careers in this community, keeping vehicles in top working condition, for more than 60 years.”
The campus offers Diploma ŃÇÖŢÍřĽt¶µă in Automotive Technology and Auto Repair, as well as an Associate in Specialized Technology Degree option in Automotive Service Management. The school is located at 9191 Torresdale Avenue, not far from the city’s historic district, and features fully-stocked auto bays, drive-in classroom, lifts, and computerized diagnostic tools. Lincoln Tech also counts Carvana and Reedman Toll among its many industry partners, as it works to help employers fill more than 50,000 projected openings for Automotive Technicians in Pennsylvania and New Jersey by 20282.
